  • Incorect VirtualIp for Active Node in High-Availability Cluster

    Posted on

In my setup I have two RHEL 7.8 servers configured in High-Availability Cluster
On both servers, are installed and configured pcsd, pacemaker and corosync services

I am facing a issue in which the roles of the two nodes and the virtual IP are incorrect
Sometimes (without stopping or restarting the services) the virtual IP does not correspond to the Active node
Issue can be seen in the attached screenshot (https://access.redhat.com/sites/profiles/files/discussion/images/2023-04/haissue.jpg) where pusntzh082.apac.com is the Active node (master) and VirtualIP is wrong indicating the server pusntzh081.apac.com which is inactive

What would be the root cause for this issue?
    How can be resolved?
What configurations or log files should be analyzed ?
