RHEL 9 cron.daily question regarding syslog

Hey everyone,

First post here and I'm hoping my problem is an actual one vs something I'm missing (and this is the right place to ask).

I'm studying for my RHCSA and going through an RHCSA 8 book currently, and it mentions that the logrotate script is contained in the /etc/cron.daily/ directory. However for me that directory is empty, and I simply haven't been able to figure out why. By chance is this simply an RHEL 8 vs 9 difference?

I haven't been able to find this issue elsewhere so I apologize if it's been asked before. Any help would be appreciated.
