    Hello,

one way of provisioning new servers in my company, is to generate a new VM, after a VM template.
We tried to clean it best possible (logs, unique id's, name, network, etc), but one of the aspects we noticed that we did not antecipated was that all cloned VM's share the same OS VG uuid.

Here it is a solution how to reset it, but I am not sure on how and if it can be applied to the root/OS VG, has it is going to be always active

Is there a way to achieve the regeneration of this to achive our VM's uniqueness?

On the other hand, is there a way to prepare the template to foresee this? I heard virt-sysprep was one way to prepare VM templates, but not sure if this addresses this situation, and furthermore, not sure how to apply it on VMware environment,

Thanks all for the support in this
