  • Boot issue after Nvidia driver install

    Posted on

On my Dell Alienware Desktop with NVIDIA RTX 3060 / Core i7-12700KF, i have installed with RHEL 8.6 along with Windows 11. Also the Desktop does not have integrated graphics.

Yesterday, i trying to install the Tensor Flow libraries for GPU by Anaconda's Conda . During the install, need to reboot the system where i got the issue. The Grub menu shown but when select the Kernel (any), did not boot into desktop mode like earlier. Can boot into rescue mode and can access the terminal.

Not sure, how to go to Desktop environment from terminal mode or how to use rescue mode correctly ?!

Attached the screen shot of Boot menu and the Grub details when press ''e"' for particular kernel.

So, how to fix this issue? As a beginner am i missing the any basic points? Since the system does not have integrated Intel graphics, any driver issue in Nvidia card creates boot issue.

Any suggestion ? Thanks a lot.
