How to import RHEVM 3.0 database data to 3.1

Latest response

Can we import data from rhevm database on 3.0 to 3.1? I tried upgrading my existing rhevm 3.0 version to 3.1, but it keeps failing.

Wondering if I could do a fresh install of RHEVM 3.1 and import the backed up data from 3.0?

Responses

The only correct way of doing this would be to install a 3.0 RHEV-M, load it with the database, and then upgrade to 3.1

Thanks for your response. I tried upgrading my existing RHEV-M 3.0 environment to 3.1 but failed. The upgrade path and documentation provided by Redhat for this upgrade doesn't work, as I tried multiple attemps. Below is the error I got -

I have a case open for this issue and is working with Redhat support on this, but was wondering if there was any other way to migrate from RHEV-M 3.0 to 3.1.

There are two ways to migrate - export all VMs, install a new 3.1, import all VMs, or run through the normal upgrade procedure.
