Cannot do update to system using yum update (RHEV Manager)

Latest response

Trying to do update to RHEVM 3.1 Beta Manager and it fails with a dependency.  I searched google for an hour yesterday to no avail.  Anyone know how to fix:

You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
You could try running: rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest

James,

The procedure I usually follow to update RHEV-M is:

On RHEV-M host:

1) rhevm-check-update

If updates are available:

2) yum update rhevm-setup

3) rhevm-upgrade

I notice there are currently updates available so I'll have to try to update later today to see if I'm experiencing the same problem.  I will post back the results.

For your reference, Chapter 5 of the RHEV Installation Guide has information about upgrading RHEV:

https://access.redhat.com/knowledge/docs/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Virtualization/3.1-Beta/html/Installation_Guide/chap-Updating_Red_Hat_Enterprise_Virtualization_between_Minor_Releases.html

Tony

Thank you Tony, I was not using the proper method apparently :)

So that worked perfectly.
