Problems when upgrading from version 6.2 to 6.3 RHEV-H

Latest response

When I upgraded to version a Hypervisor to  rhev-hypervisor6-6.3-20120926.0.el6_3.noarch. The previous version is version 6.2  (20120209.0.el6_2).

The problem is that the hypervisor does not display any information, but if it appears on the RHEV-M :-?

Hi Jose,

Have you opened a case about this? Upgrade should work fine, and unless something failed in the middle of it, you shouldn't see this. So if you do, it will require some log analysis, which is better done within a case

Hi Dan,

If I have opened a case with RedHat. I am waiting for results.

I hope not to have to reinstall the host.

Thanks

why not? it only takes a 10 minutes and a reboot to reinstall RHEV-H from scratch... Sometimes, when you need to get to work, it's easier than troubleshooting a complex issue

Hi Dan,

In my case, I have to update more than one host and I want to know why this problem occurs. The update should be clean.

This is not Windows. :-)

Oh, of course. I'm talking about a case where one out of a lot of hosts didn't get upgraded normally, and you have a choice on whether to spend hours troubleshooting, or minutes reinstalling, this is one of RHEV-H's great advantages of RHEL hosts right here.

But if this fails every time, you are definitely right, and the issue needs to be resolved.
