RHEV3: how to remove the downloaded iso file from iso storage?

RHEV does not provide a facility to manage ISO files, only to upload them.

However, since the ISO SD is simply a file storage, you can access it directly and delete, rename or put any files in there as much as you want. Just make sure the permissions are set to 36:36 (vdsm:kvm), in order for RHEV to be able to use these files. This can be done with Linux, Mac, WinSCP or whatever else you might want to use

The ISO images are stored under /path_to_export/ISO_DOMAIN_UUID/images/11111111-1111-1111-1111-1111111111111111/

Hi Dan,

If I remove the file from the directory listed in the NFS share, the ISO file still appears as a mountable option when I right click on a vm and select 'Change CD'.

If I select the previously deleted ISO image, it results in the error:

"Error while executing ChangeDisk: Drive image file could not be found"

Is there a command or mechanism where I can direct RHEV-M to re-scan the ISO directory for changes?

Thanks

Mick

it should get rescanned automatically, are you sure the file was removed completely?
