Downloading Errata

Latest response

Hi,

Is there a way to download errata, say using curl for a specific channel? I would like to automate this process using a script. I would like to avoid having to register a client server just to pull updates.

The updates would then be burned to DVD and moved to the proper network. I could not find anything in the documentation that convered this specific example.

Thanks for any help and have a good weekend!

cheers

Doug

As you know, each machine requires a valid subscription for updated content (async errata) and official Red Hat support.

That being said, the following kbase shows how to set up a local yum repo from the DVD media:

Other than that, you might want to look into Red Hat Network Satellite, which could help keep you audit-ready, and help avoid possible complaince issues.

Hope this helps,

Thanks Andrius for the information. I will review the link you posted. Satellite is not an option for me at this time.

Once again thanks for the information.
