Hi Jose,

the message can be safely ignored and has nothing to do with the failed path status being reported. This message will be seen on the vast majority of systems using a Qlogic card as most fabrics don't support reporting of FCP priority data.  Unless a user is reporting problems with FCP priority handling on a Qlogic adapter, these messages should always be ignored on a RHEL kernel.

The message was added into the RHEL 5.6 release via patch linux-2.6-scsi-qla2xxx-more-updates-from-upstream-for-rhel-5-6.patch.  Later, another up stream commit removed this message (see upstream commit  2f0f3f4f06f7cfadebf58b70bd9e7f71d8fd96e4).

The message is output after reading the optional fiber channel port priority configuration data/table off of the Qlogic adapter.  The message is output when there is no information -- most likely -- or badly formated data (less likely) within the data read back from the card.  The reading of the data was always present, just the message was added and then removed.

Cheers
