  • Issues with TESmart Dual Monitor Four Way Display Port KVM Switch

    Posted on

I have this Tesmart Dual Monitor Four Way Display Port KVM Switch currently providing Keyboard, Mouse and Dual display access to three different computers, all at one point were running Windows 10. Everything was working fine. I could select the computer, access it just fine, switch to another computer, access it just fine and so on. I would switch back to a computer and then access that just fine. So I installed RHEL 8.4 on a seperate drive on one of the computers and for now at least the boot on that machine goes directly to the RHEL installations, and does not even provide the option to boot to the Windows 10 on the other drive unless I were to go into the BIOS setupr and make the other drive prime. So, now the keyboard, mouse and display work fine with the RHEL on and after boot but when I switch to one of the other computers and then switch back to the RHEL, the displays are black and the system seems unresponsive to mouse and keyboard action (the displays remain black). I have been unable, short of a reboot, to get the displays to lignt again and the system to respond to the mouse and keyboard. Of course going back to one of the Windows 10 systems works fine. So, as everything used to work fine with this particular computer and still does when using Windows 10 and it is isn't working properly with RHEL, I have to conclude that this is some sort of driver or setup issue with RHEL. Does anyone have any solution to this problem? Thanks.
