Missing python3-argparse-manpage package (this is really for RHEL 8.1 x86_64)

Latest response

I am trying to compile the 386-ds-base package and when attempting to use the rpmbuild it complains that the python3-argparse-manpage is not installed. I have searched the repos for RHEL 8, cloned them and still I can't find this package. It may be that it is included with another package but I don't know where I would find that information. Has anyone else had this issue and if so have you resolved it and how?

Thanks

Hi Mikel,

The package python3-argparse-manpage is not available from the RHEL repos ... but you can get it from the EPEL repositories. :)

sudo subscription-manager repos --enable codeready-builder-for-rhel-8-x86_64-rpms
sudo rpm -Uvh https://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/epel-release-latest-8.noarch.rpm

sudo dnf upgrade
sudo dnf install python3-argparse-manpage
