RHEL 8 beta missing GTK components?

I installed netbeans 8.2 on rhel 8 beta and noticed some odd font behavior in the default GTK+ theme (which I have always used traditionally). No issues whatsoever running netbeans with this theme on Fedora 28 or 29.

The Metal theme (and all the others actually) works fine.

If I launch netbeans from a console with the GTK+ theme selected I get the message:

Gtk-Message: 20:00:41.648: Failed to load module "canberra-gtk-module"

I don't get this error with the other themes. Anyone have any ideas about this?
