Hi Brian,

Refresh everything ... first clean up - execute the following commands :

sudo subscription-manager remove --all
sudo subscription-manager unregister
sudo subscription-manager clean

Check which subscriptions are available :

sudo subscription-manager list --available

Register the system and attach the subscription you want to use :

sudo subscription-manager register
sudo subscription-manager refresh
sudo subscription-manager attach --pool=*

Replace * with the Pool ID from the subscription you want to attach. :)

I found something strange. It appears that subscription-manager register with an Org and Activation Key doesn't work completely with Extended Lifecycle Support hosts. In fact, it doesn't seem to unregister an ELS subscription properly either. Using Content Hosts and looking under the Subscriptions tab, every host designated for ELS had ELS, but was attached to an additional product, usually "Red Hat Satellite Infrastructure Subscription". The hosts I unsubscribed still showed an ELS subscription, but included "guest". I don't have any explanation for why this would occur, it seems like some kind of bug. I was able to manually fix all of them by adding/removing subscriptions for each host until they were all correct, fortunately we don't have very many ELS hosts.

you need to get the .pem file for your ELS subscription and place it in /etc/pki/products then subscription-manager refresh
