Latest response

Dear Linux Community,
I am New Member to Linux and as i fresher to Linux i just started using Linux 7.0 on VMware, and i need to say that i highly interested in Linux Now and i almost completed my RHCSA training just daily practicing on VMware with my RHEL Faculty under proper guidance.
About me i totally devoted my carrier to Networking as my background is B.Tech(Electronics and Communication) preparing to CCNP Routing and Switching and after that i have a aim to be CCIE in it.
Now i need to know that is how RHEL 7.0 is used in my Networking Carrier and after few months i am going into Amazon AWS Intermediate Cloud Training is that a good option for me.

And how can i get prefect opportunity with this knowledge.
P.S. Sorry for the Long Post.

RHEL 7.5?!?

Sorry about that.... Actually i am using RHEL 7.0 on VMware and remember 7.7 from different title...

Hi Inzamam, just curious ... why don't you run the latest edition 7.5 ? Especially for learning new stuff, this would be a good idea. :)

Christian

I just completed my RHCSA training using RHEL 7.0 and 7.3 on VMware and learnt only server configuration and other basic things when i got trained on that i'll surely work on that.....

By the way Is 7.5 edition available for VMware ?

Not sure if I understand your question, Insamam - VMware is a virtualization solution. All you need to do is download the RHEL 7.5 DVD ISO - create a new VM and install RHEL 7.5 to a new virtual disk. :)

Christian

Sir i have installed RHEL 7.3 virtually on my System and lot of work and configuration i have implemented on it already. As i will surely work on RHEL 7.5 but later after i implemented topics on RHEL 7.3 P.S. can i please answer me that is how Networking and AWS Cloud linked with Redhat, and how Red hat beneficial for me in the future.

Hi Inzamam,

RHEL 7.5 server x86_64 ISO is applicable on VMware. You could also register your VMs via subscription-manager and run yum update.

Jan Gerrit Kootstra

Sure Kootstra, i will definitely work on RHEL 7.5 server but right now i am just getting comfortable with RHEL 7.3 and its working perfectly for me and i really enjoying my RHCSA module, and definitely i am going to apply for Certification.

The best study direction for you depends on where you already work or want to work.

When I was doing Cisco and network engineer stuff, the most useful thing to learn was software which interacted with the network gear - Cacti for graphing, expect/clogin for managing devices, RADIUS for AAA, and Puppet for managing device configs.

If you want to get involved in more devops, Linux platform-as-a-service, and cloud technology, then a knowledge of cloud platforms like the AWS course you mentioned is good. We also have study, training, and certification based on OpenShift and OpenStack.
