Issue with attaching a custom Repo to servers

I have a custom repo which I have added to one of my Content View's for RedHat 6.9. However, the only way I can succesfully add this repo to servers is by doing a subscription-manager attach --pool=xxxx even though the repo is part of the Content View for these particular servers.

Should the new pool/repo not be added automatically or am I misunderstanding how adding repo's to servers work?
