Shisheer,

Please provide more details about this error and your environment, including:

  • Is this error shown when you run a specific command? If so, what command?
  • What version of Satellite are you running?
  • What version of RHEL is on the affected host(s)?
  • Did you encounter any problems when migrating hosts using the bootstrap script?

Hello Russell,

  1. Error occurs when I run 'yum repolist'. I am able to see all the repos, however, no packages displayed. They are empty.

  2. I am running Satellite 6.2.14

  3. Affected versions are all RHEL 6.9 on hosts. However, some other hosts with same version have no issues.

  4. Only error I saw in the end of the bootstrap script was that it couldn't install 'katello-agent'. However, all other machines I migrated successfully had the same messages and I had to manually enable Satellite tools repo and install katello-agent.

I was really thinking the error might have been a proxy related. I had proxy entry on 'up2date' file. However, I removed that and error still exists. Also, other successful hosts had the same entry but those hosts didn't show this error, So, I ruled that out. hostname -f, hostname command doesn't show FQDN on these hosts. But I am not sure if that's the culprit on this case. Thanks for responding.

FYI. I managed to resolve this issue by removing proxy and manually migrating hosts.
