Creating an Application Launcher

On RHEL 7.1, how to I create an application launcher for Eclipse. I'm using KDE desktop. Eclipse is installed at /opt/eclipse/eclipse.

I'd like to be able to click on a shortcut on the desktop or on the Applications menu.
