Satellite 6.3 beta?

Latest response

I can see a Satellite 6.3.0 beta ISO & packages on the downloads page for my account...but I can't see documentation for that version anywhere, so I am loathe actually try using it (even in a test environment - based on previous Satellite 6.x updates, following the old documentation exactly is not likely to work).

Any word on when 6.3 beta will be (more or less) "officially" available for testing?

James, I am not able to comment on that, seems like some problem with subscription if you don't expect these bits. I am reaching out to someone who will be able to comment on that.

James, we are currently running a smaller private beta for 6.3 in the month of November which is why you see the 6.3 beta repositories populated on the CDN.

The public 6.3 Beta launches the week of December 4th, so very soon! With that launch you will see all the documentation made available. I'd recommend waiting for the official public beta so you will have access to both the documentation and proper support.

When can we expect it to be released? (Or... how long does typically a beta period last?)

We will have official announcements as to availability later this year. The more folks who download and test the beta when available, the easier it is to get it out!
