How to remove installed product?

Latest response

Hi,

Need some help with subscription management.

Some time ago Developer Toolset repo was enabled. Now I am not able to fix subscription issue. Status in RHN is:

Not Subscribed
Installed products are not covered by attached subscriptions. Updates cannot be received.

[root@hostname RHEL-6]# subscription-manager list +-------------------------------------------+ Installed Product Status +-------------------------------------------+ Product Name: Red Hat Developer Toolset (for RHEL Server) Product ID: 176 Version: 2.1 Arch: x86_64 Status: Not Subscribed Status Details: Not supported by a valid subscription. Starts: Ends: Product Name: Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server Product ID: 69 Version: 6.9 Arch: x86_64 Status: Subscribed Status Details: Starts: 06/27/2017 Ends: 06/27/2018

Is there a way to remove Red Hat Developer Toolset? Repo is disabled already and all (hopefully) packages removed.

Responses

Use subscription-manager list --consumed, then in the information for Red Hat Developer Toolset (for RHEL Server) find the Serial and then run subscription-manager remove --serial <serial from previous cmd>.

Thanks Mike.

But still, Red Hat Developer Toolset is shown as installed product and overall status is invalid ;

[root@hostnameyum.repos.d]# subscription-manager status

Overall Status: Invalid

Red Hat Developer Toolset (for RHEL Server):
- Not supported by a valid subscription.

Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server:

[root@hostname yum.repos.d]# subscription-manager attach

All installed products are covered by valid entitlements. No need to update subscriptions at this time.

Tricky case.

Thanks.
