Hi Mateo,

RH Satellite 6.2.12 which is depend of the RHEL version. RHEL 7.4 is advised as the Operating System.

Jan Gerrit

Yes, the documentation said that, but is RH satellite 6.2.12 the most stable versión on RHEL 7.4 or which is the most stable?

Hi Mateo, yes ... Red Hat Satellite 6.2.12 is the latest (most) stable version - right as Jan Gerrit already told you. :)

Christian

Thanks Christian, I just saw your answer.

Hello Mateo,

It is the most supported. I do not use multiple RH Satellite, due to the huge demand of resources. Some people still use RH Satellite 5.8, issues with RH Satellite 5.x is the upcoming Support Phase 3. Only bugfixes, no new features.

Jan Gerrit

Hello Jan,

Thanks for your help.

Regards.

Mateo, be on the lookout for rather rapid satellite minor releases. I have installed in the last year everything from sat version 6.2.7 through 6.2.12. I always pick the most current edition when installing satellite per the instructions.

Hi R. Hinton

I tried to install the lastest versión of satellite on RHEL 7.4 but I got some errors about missing packages... something like "no packet to list" I can´t remeber... Then I tried to install the missing packages but I find out that were remove from RHEL 7... I don´t understand why got this errors because I followed the instructions enabling the specific repositories.
