  • Enabling port 902 for P2V...not working with or without iptables

    Posted on

I am trying to P2V a RHEL 6.9 test server as a proof of concept for this process. This is my first time working with the vCenter Converter and it looks like I am getting tripped up by a required port (902) not listening/allowing communication.

Utilizing the old telnet to port trick, all the other required ports are allowing traffic, but I can't seem to get the server to allow 902. I have added an explicit entry in iptables and then later turned off iptables. I feel this is going to be something obvious once it is figured out, but at the moment I can't see it.

    Thanks.
