Sat6 katello-backup --incremental 6.2.10 bug?

Latest response

I am having an issue where the incremental backup is as large as a standard backup. I came across this article:
https://access.redhat.com/solutions/3015091

This article shows the issue up until 6.2.8, but the issue still remains in 6.2.10.

I also found this bug fix article:
https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHBA-2017:1234

However, that errata is already installed:

The command I run:

/bin/katello-backup /var/lib/satellite/backup/incremental --incremental /var/lib/satellite/backup/offline

The offline dir is where my full backup is.

Hello, I think this was fixed in an Async Erratum during 6.2.9, not 6.2.8 as mentioned above.

See comment 8 in Bug 1445989 – Incremental backup script in effect is performing full backup. - https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1445989

I recently added that info to the Server Administration Guide chapter Backup and Disaster Recovery.

If you have already installed RHBA-2017:1234 then best raise a support request I think.
