Which Satellite release?

You can receive host errata advisory email by editing your account. This might show the data that you are looking for. Go to -> Your account on the top right corner-> Select Email Preferences. I think by default its no email.

Prakash,

You should take a look at the Hammer Cheat Sheet. It sounds like what you are looking for is:

hammer host errata list --host host_name

While this would require you to generate a report yourself, there are similar scripts that community members have created that would be a great place to start. For example you could check out the Inventory Script for Red Hat Satellite 6. It could easily be modified to generate an errata report. Please note, the script referenced is not supported by Red Hat.

I hope that helps.

A friend of mine created a python tool to accomplish this:

This is the script i run on our Satellite 6.3 server

#
#/bin/bash

admin='admin'
passwd='password'

HOST_LIST=$(hammer -u $admin -p $passwd --output csv host list | cut -f 2 -d ','| tail --lines=+2)

for host in $HOST_LIST
do
        echo -e "\n"$host
        hammer -u $admin -p $passwd host errata list --host $host
done
Close
