RHV stucked at boot screen after "reboot" from SSH

Latest response

Hi,
I have installed RHV 4.1 on two of my HP ProLiant DL360p Gen9 servers. Whenever I give "reboot" command from any of SSH connection (like from PuTTY or from RHV-Manager[Hosts-->Maintenance-->SSH]), the server is being stuck at boot loading screen, saying something like this..

==========================================================================================

i8042: Can't read CTR while initializing i8042
mce: Unable to init device /dev/mcelog (rc: -5)
systemd[1]: Cannot add dependency dev-rhvh-rhvh\x2d4.1\x2d0.20170522.0+1.device to initrd.target, ignoring: Invalid argument

Both of the servers are throwing the same error. See the attached screenshots for reference. Please help with this.

Thank you.

Hi,

It looks like the system hangs during stop but nothing to do with i8042: Can't read CTR while initializing i8042 message which is due to the PS/2 controller. It's going to be something else. Check the VDSM logs and messages on the servers I would say.

Check the device exists at boot time. Other dependencies are failing as a result. Is it a multipath device?
