RHEV-H installation device not found

Latest response

Trying to install RHEV-H on BL460c G1. After detecting the nootable image it asks to seelct language & keyboard and then gives error as no device found.
Tried rhev-hypervisor rhev-hypervisor7-7.2-20160219.0.iso and get same error "No valid boot device detected RHEV-H"

same error with rhev-hypervisor6-6.8-20160707.3.iso or RHVH-4.1-20170417.0-RHVH-x86_64-dvd1.iso

Any help how to fix this.

Thanks

Have you configured the hardware RAID controller in the HP BL460c G1 blades before attempting to start the installation? If not, the installer might not be seeing any disk in the system at all.

I think the hardware RAID controller settings should be accessible by pressing the F8 key when the boot-time self-test messages indicate that the SmartArray controller is initializing. (Some models might have a full-screen logo that covers up the messages; in that case, press Esc to view the messages.)

Note that F8 is also the key to access the HP iLO remote console configuration, so you must pay attention to the boot-up messages and press the key when the component you want to configure is starting up - not before nor after.

Hello Matti,

Yes hardware RAID with RAID0 is configured. If I install RHEL OS it detect disk normal only when installing RHEV-H disk is not detectable.

Thanks,
