Which gives better performance of VM
Hi,
Could you please explain which of the following gives better performance of VM w.r.t. resources.
Server 1 : RHEL as HostOS, VM created by virt-manager
Server 2 : RHV as HostOS, VM created by rhev-manager
Responses
Both use the same underlying virt technology - KVM.
However, RHV and Red Hat OpenStack use a later version of KVM (package qemu-kvm-rhev) than is provided in the base RHEL channel (package qemu-kvm).
I am not familiar with the exact changes, but it's possible that RHV and RHOS provides some extra features and/or performance which are not available in RHEL.
