RH436 Practice: Configuring Cluster Notifications not working

Latest response

Hello,
I'm working on a practice about Configuring cluster notifications, when I setup the practice I'm getting all sorts of errors, I already reset all my nodes(including nodea where the script is getting errors from and my workstation. These are the errors I'm getting:

I removed the errors and followed the advice in the responses the create a support ticket

Can this be looked at? I haven't had any problems with the other labs. And just wanted to mention/complain I find the Lab environment Extremely slow, I would expect a better/faster lab environment for the price that you pay for a learning subscription. It takes a long time for the machines to boot, resetting takes a long time when you revert to default for doing a new lab or practice, and when typing sometimes the key gets stuck causing something to show up like thissssssssssssssssssssssssssss. And lastly I have had several times that one of the virtual machines lost network connection for some reason, so I would be working in a node, and the network connection would get lost, ending back in the workstation machine.

Hello Maarten,

Is there a question for the community or is this just a complaint that would be have better been sent to Red Hat training directly?

Helping to solve the errors is dangerous for us, for you mention this an exam preparation, some one might accidentally mention Exam details.

Requesting help to solve cluster issues is better done under the subject related Discussion part.

Complaints I would mail to Training in your Region. It might be an infrastructural issue that is Region specific.

I used Open, a sales training Cloud a lot last year and no performance issues, neither did I have Kiosk exam performance issues.

Hello Jan,

Thanks for your reply and you advice on how to proceed with my problem.

Maarten, see the good points above from Jan,

I'll just add that you can also open a support case with Red Hat for the course issues you're experiencing. One of the course managers occasionally mentions to students here in the discussion forum to open a case with Red Hat support (https://access.redhat.com/support/cases/) for your Red Hat Learning subscription.

Hello The Caffeinated Developer , Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, I wasn't sure where to ask my question and since I didn't see a place where you could ask for help when running into trouble during the course practice or lab exercises. Since the button community was next to the catalog of all the course I thought asking here was the most logical place to post my question.

Maarten,

To add to The Caffeinated Developer's comment: You can choose the product Red Hat Online Learning so the case will be direct to the Training support team.

So your issue will be solved by the appropriate team.

Good luck with your training and exam,

Jan Gerrit

thanks Jan,
