installation and configuration PHP55 with RHSCL

Latest response

Hello,

i use php53 on RHEL7 for web applications.
i want install and configure php55 with RHSCL.

The installation is correct with my Satellite, only the modules :

php55-tidy, php55-mcrypt, php55-tcpdf and php55-tcpdf-dejavu-sans-fonts are absents. Normal ?

After, i want that my web applications (phpmyadmin, piwik) use php 55. But "this is the drama" ... no documentation explain how to do ...

it's not the first time ...

Si, i propose a new discussion : "How RedHat can help this users to use RHSCL !"

Thank you

Hi Linux AIM,

Have you tried following the instructions in Using Red Hat Software Collections?

If you have, what didn't work?

i installl php55 i restart httpd service http://my_server/phpinfo.php ==> always php 5.4 ...

Hello Robert, precision: i use "RHEL 7.1" Thank you

You need to use httpd from Software Collections, too (package httpd24). Then the RHSCL version of PHP will be used automatically. See Running a System Service from a Software Collection for general instructions on how to run RHSCL-based system services.

See How to configure Apache httpd to use PHP from RHSCL (rh-php70 or rh-php56) for instructions specific to httpd and PHP.

(I recommend you upgrade to latest RHEL (7.3) as well as latest RHSCL (2.3). The php55 Collection is no longer supported, so it's better to use rh-php56 or rh-php70.)

Hello Robert, thank you for your precision. i install httpd24 + rh-php56.

locate var/www/html ==>
/opt/rh/httpd24/root/var/www/html : ok
/opt/rh/httpd24/root/var/www/html/phpinfo.php
/opt/rh/php55/root/var/www/html
/var/www/html
/var/www/html/phpinfo.php
 ps -ef|grep http
root      3865     1  0 15:14 ?        00:00:00 /opt/rh/httpd24/root/usr/sbin/httpd -DFOREGROUND
...

but when i do "http://localhost/phpinfo.php", i receive only :

<?php phpinfo(); ?>

==> problem with php ? Bests Regards Thierry
