Hi Charles,

have you tried:

touch chareles-diomand.txt

in the directory of the source file? Do you get the same error?

Kind regards,

Jan Gerrit Kootstra

but when i try to copy the datafile DEFAULT_DATA_092012_015.dbf i get this error: [root@ci08svrdbdwh1 bosdwh]# cp DEFAULT_DATA_092012_015.dbf /u06sa/oracle/ cp: lecture de `DEFAULT_DATA_092012_015.dbf': Erreur d'entrée/sortie

cp: reading `DEFAULT_DATA_092012_015.dbf': Input/output error

But when I copy other files from the same directory, there is no error

Did you also copy multiple file to the same destination directory?

yes and i have no error

I think this error concerns the file DEFAULT_DATA_092012_015.dbf in this directory

I need to know if it is possible to repair that file

Hello Charles,

I guess you need to create a support case for Red Hat and one at the Database vendor (the extension suggest) the files are database files. Am I correct?

Regards,

Jan Gerrit

yes it is a database file. So please can you show me how can i create a support case for Red Hat ??

Can you tell me which Database System you use?

i use Oracle Database

Do you use access.redhat.com to access this Discussion Forum?

yes

If so, do you have a menu item support on top of the webpage?

It should be in the top white banner.

I would also open a support ticket at Oracle, for it might be an Oracle issue.
