loss of mouse control in 6.6 guest vm's

The mouse will not work until a reboot of the guest takes place.
Very erratic, sometimes it happens on the same guest. Sometimes not. The host is RHEL 7.3
Dell R730 Xeon E5-2640 v3 2.6 GHz
