Latest openssh version for RHEL 7.3

Latest response

Hello,
Which is the latest openssh version available for 7.3 ?
And in which repo can i find it ?

This is what i have now in 7.3 which looks pretty outdated to me.
ssh -V
OpenSSH_6.6.1p1, OpenSSL 1.0.1e-fips 11 Feb 2013
Would be nice with a version that support SHA256, now when the first SHA1 collision is a fact.

Hello, I've enabled and searched all repos provided by the RHEL Developer Suite and epel. I've found no version newer than version 6.6.1.

In "Which Openssh version supports SHA-2 in the RHEL ?" is mentioned that SHA-2 is supported since OpenSSH version 5.9(Upstream).

Best regards, Joerg

Thanks! Do you know how to create a ssh key with SHA2 ? In Openssh 6.6

Upstream added SHA256 signature verification in version 7.2: https://www.openssh.com/txt/release-7.2

We're rebasing OpenSSH to 7.4p1 in RHEL 7.4 which is currently targeted for Q3 2017.

The work's being done under Red Hat Private Bug Bug 1341754.

Ok, thanks ! What about RHEL 7.3 ? Any plans for Openssh updates, to OpenSSh 7.2 ?

We don't do rebases and other such feature enablement in z-stream/EUS, so 7.3.z won't see this.

However, after 7.4 is out. you should be able to install the 7.4 package on an existing 7.3 install.
