Hello,

I had the same issue, it is tied to the iLO card, I do not know exactly why.

I was able to solve it by connecting thru SSH to the iLO card (usually ssh Administrator@ip-address-of-ilo-card), then reset the iLO card by typing:

cd /map1/
reset

Below is the transcript:

iLO Advanced 2.50 at  Sep 23 2016

Server Power: On

</>hpiLO-> cd /map1/

/map1
</map1>hpiLO-> reset

Resetting iLO.
CLI session stopped
Received disconnect from 10.75.0.174: 11: Client Disconnect

Please note that using hponcfg to reset the iLO card did not work, I had to use SSH.

Hope this helps.

there is no /map1/

Hi,

You have to connect to the iLO card thru ssh, something like: "ssh Administrator@IP_address_of_the_iLO_card", not to the operating system running on the server.

Thanks for sharing!

Afterwards, I had to recycle the hp-health service to clear a new error that was being written to the logs after the recycle where hpasmlited was not able to connect to the iLO. Just passing this along in case anyone else runs into the same error.
