How to work around RHEL6 install problem - display driver issue?

Latest response

I'm trying to install Redhat 6.8 from DVD, onto an Intel based system.
Part way through the install, I get a messed up screen (see attached).

I'm guessing it's a display driver issue.
I've tried two different monitors (Dell & Asus) through the DVI, as well as a 3rd monitor through Display Port, all with no success.
The CPU is Intel Core i7 4700EQ with Intel HD Graphics 4600, with 8Gb RAM, installing to a 60Gb SSD.

I'm wondering if I need to somehow perform a driver update during install, after reading this link:

updating drivers

Any advice most appreciated!

Hello, searching the Red Hat Knowledgebase I see reports a few years ago of problems with RHEL5, but not RHEL6. As a test, can you boot to run level 3 and run 'system-config-display' and try lower resolutions? You can see detailed steps here System hang occurs when changing graphics modes on systems equipped with Intel HD Graphics device. As there are no similar reported issues for RHEL6 in the Red Hat Knowledgebase, see if there is any information about updates for you system from Intel or the system's manufacture.

Thanks Stephen. I'm not sure it's possible to access run level 3 from the installer. Due to time constraints my work around is to install CentOS, as that doesn't have this issue. I think RHEL6 is a bit old for the hardware we're running on this project. The customer didn't want to go with RHEL7, ATM for whatever reason.
