RH 6.6 - Yum Update - [Errno 14] PYCURL ERROR 7 - "couldn't connect to host"
Ever since renewing my RH license I am getting the following error:
# yum update
Loaded plugins: product-id, refresh-packagekit, search-disabled-repos, subscription-manager

https://cdn.redhat.com/content/dist/rhel/client/6/6Client/x86_64/os/repodata/repomd.xml: [Errno 14] PYCURL ERROR 7 - "couldn't connect to host"

Error: Cannot retrieve repository metadata (repomd.xml) for repository: rhel-6-desktop-rpms. Please verify its path and try again
I have attempted everything listed as a solution on https://access.redhat.com/solutions/291643 , but have not had any luck.
This is the contents of my yum.conf:

# This is the default, if you make this bigger yum won't see if the metadata
# is newer on the remote and so you'll "gain" the bandwidth of not having to
# download the new metadata and "pay" for it by yum not having correct
# information.
# It is esp. important, to have correct metadata, for distributions like
# Fedora which don't keep old packages around. If you don't like this checking
# interupting your command line usage, it's much better to have something
# manually check the metadata once an hour (yum-updatesd will do this).

# PUT YOUR REPOS HERE OR IN separate files named file.repo
# in /etc/yum.repos.d

I am not behind a proxy and I am not being filtered by a firewall. Again, everything worked before the subscription expired and I have since purchased a new one. I have registered my system on the RH site and I see the box listed under my "subscriber inventory" as being attached, active, and having access to the yum repos.
