Using Satellite 6.2 on RHEL 7.2. Provisioning hangs after these console messages:
[ OK ] Started Anaconda NetworkManager configuration. Starting Anaconda NetworkManager configuration... Starting Terminate Plymouth Boot Screen... Starting Login Service... Starting Wait for Plymouth Boot Screen to Quit... Starting Dump dmesg to /var/log/dmesg... Starting firewalld - dynamic firewall daemon... Starting Service enabling compressing RAM with zRam... [ OK ] Started System Logging Service. [ OK ] Started Dump dmesg to /var/log/dmesg. [ OK ] Started D-Bus System Message Bus. Starting D-Bus System Message Bus... [ OK ] Started Login Service. [ OK ] Started Service enabling compressing RAM with zRam.
Did anaconda start running?
Here is the PXE config for the client:
DEFAULT linux LABEL linux KERNEL boot/RedHat-7.2-x86_64-vmlinuz APPEND initrd=boot/RedHat-7.2-x86_64-initrd.img ks=http://satellite.xxx.local/unattended/provision?token=3aa2a4c5-c266-4a9b-9ed7-2bbeee9cb80b console=ttyS0,115200n8 console=tty0 network ks.sendmac IPAPPEND 2
I had to add the console bit in the config to monitor the progress. Can the debugging level on anything increased to get better visibility? Also noticed that the PXE template used is "PXELinux template Template Kickstart default PXELinux" even though iPXE is being used. Does that matter?
Any suggestion is appreciated.
