Upgrading PHP version used by HTTPD24

Latest response

My HTTPD24 server is using php 5.6.5 and i need to get it above 5.6.17. What steps need to be taken to upgrade the version of PHP used by the server?

First of all, you should probably read: Security Backporting Policy

That is to say: it's likely that the consultant/team/documentation that told you php v5.6.17 is required probably doesn't take into account the fact that we backport fixes and our php-5.6.5 is not the same as upstream php-5.6.5 was.

If you still want something newer that is supported by RH, you can migrate to php7. See: Is PHP 7 (php7) available in RHEL 6 or RHEL 7 via RHSCL?
