Change to Boot From SAN
I've looked at https://access.redhat.com/solutions/68503
The instructions are not detailed enough for a nubee like myself.
I currently have some physical servers running RedHat 6.7 and booting off of local disk.
I want to have them boot off a Hitachi SAN without losing the data.

I don't mean to be rude, but if the instructions above are too complex, then boot-from-SAN probably isn't for you.
Doing this requires a deep understanding of the boot process, both what the hardware does and what the software components (bootloader, init, initramfs, multipath, kernel) do. It's definitely not a beginner-level operation.
There are a lot of things which can go wrong and can be very time consuming to troubleshoot, even for experienced administrators, that's one of several reasons we don't support doing this conversion.
