Problems accessing Red Hat Software Collections

Latest response

Hello,

I have a group of RHEL 7.1 servers licensed with Red Hat Enterprise Linux Academic Server subscription. The fact is that until one moth ago I could access to Red Hat Software Collections Beta with no problem according to my subscription conditions as you can see below:

-------------------------------------------+
Consumed Subscriptions
+-------------------------------------------+
Subscription Name: Red Hat Enterprise Linux Academic Server, Self-support (16 sockets) (Up to 1 guest) with Smart Management
Provides: Oracle Java (for RHEL Server)
Red Hat Software Collections Beta (for RHEL Server)
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server
dotNET on RHEL Beta (for RHEL Server)
Red Hat Beta
dotNET on RHEL (for RHEL Server)

The thing is that nowadays I can´t update my php software because I ´have lost access to RHSC (I still can acess the other reopsitories) although I'm still subscribed (my subscription ends on the 3trd of July of 2017). In fact if I do a "yum repolist" I get:

yum repolist

repo id repo name status
rhel-7-server-optional-rpms/7Server/x86_64 Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 Server - Optional (RPMs) 8,873
rhel-7-server-rpms/7Server/x86_64 Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 Server (RPMs) 11,349
rhel-server-rhscl-7-beta-rpms/x86_64 Red Hat Software Collections Beta RPMs for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 Server 0
repolist: 20,222

As I explained before I downloaded and instaled php from RHSC in the past as you can see below:

yum list installed | grep php

rh-php56-php-cli.x86_64 5.6.5-8.el7 @rhel-server-rhscl-7-beta-rpms
rh-php56-php-common.x86_64 5.6.5-8.el7 @rhel-server-rhscl-7-beta-rpms
rh-php56-php-devel.x86_64 5.6.5-8.el7 @rhel-server-rhscl-7-beta-rpms
rh-php56-php-mbstring.x86_64 5.6.5-8.el7 @rhel-server-rhscl-7-beta-rpms
rh-php56-php-pdo.x86_64 5.6.5-8.el7 @rhel-server-rhscl-7-beta-rpms

I tried to get in touch with Red Hat support but they don´t give me any support so I would be very grateful if you could help me to solve this problem. Thanks in advance

Best Regards,

Steven.

Can you post what happens when you try to make an update?

Hello Mike,

Sorry for not replying you before but I thought that I had marked the option of getting notified abot this discussion but I hadn´t so I've just read your reply. Following your instructions I have just tried a " yum update rh-php56-php-cli" and it's working now. The thing is that some days before I had tried sing "subscription-manager refresh" with no luck. Anyway it looks like it's solved so I would like to thank you for your help.

Best Regards,

Steven.
