OpenDKIM configuration/installation for postfix 2.10 on RHEL 7.2?

Latest response

Hello fellow Red Hat users,

I am building a new mailrelay environment using postfix 2.10 on RHEL 7.2, one of a the features we want is DKIM. Until now I failed to find a complete repository for opendkim and the dependencies.

All howtos refer to Centos, but we need RHEL.

Any hints on how to implement DKIM with postfix?

Kind regards,

All,

Although I did not got a response from a fellow member of this community, I found a way to get all the needed rpms. I opened a support case, requesting DKIM support from Red Hat.

In the meantime you may download the needed rpms from my download site http://download.kootstra.org.uk/dmarc-dkim-el7.tgz A howto using dkim with postfix can be found on https://www.rosehosting.com/blog/how-to-install-and-integrate-opendkim-with-postfix-on-a-centos-6-vps/ A remote test site can be found on http://dkimvalidator.com/

Be aware that the SPF records to validate your "authenticity" must refer to the mail-gateway to the internet, so it may be the relayhost of your ISP.

WARNING: since the Request for Extension is still under consideration the downloaded software is not support of Red Hat.

http://www.stevejenkins.com/blog/2015/03/installing-opendmarc-rpm-via-yum-with-postfix-or-sendmail-for-rhel-centos-fedora/ can help you setup opendmarc.

When I did my migration from EL6 to EL7, OpenDKIM is/was in EPEL. What dependencies were you missing? It's been working for me since last year.

As to SPF, the records need to refer to any mail gateway that your MUA might use. Kind of a pain in the ass if you travel and your hotel intercepts/proxies all mail-related traffic (even SMTPS and/or STARTLS). Yeah... Ran into that bugaboo when I was still doing the traveling consultant, thing.

Hello Tom,

Sorry for the late replay. These are the packages I missed: * sendmail-milter for opendkim, infact: libmilter.so.1.0()(64bit) (hmmm, the server missed a subscription to RHEL 7 Optional) * perl(Switch) for opendmarc (hmmm, the server missed a subscription to RHEL 7 Optional)

Now I see your point.

Kind regards,

Jan Gerrit

Ok. Cool. Was afraid that there was some functionality I was overlooking (and failing to notice that I'd overlooked). =)
