Red Hat Openstack Platform vs OpenStack Product

Hi,
I am intending to install Red Hat OpenStack platform to be used as VIM layer for NFV deployment. Since my NFV orchestrator supports OpenStack VIM with OpenStack kilo or higher versions can any one kindly explain mapping between Red Hat OpenStack Platforms vs OpenStack open-source project releases.
Eg:- say red hat openstack platform version 5 based on openstack kilo. (I don't know whether this is correct or wrong. Just indicative)
