Capsule server corruption

Latest response

I'm running Satellite 6.1.3. I built a capsule at remote location. During my first sync my hammer task was canceled. When I tried to re-run a sync the it would hang maybe waiting for the old pulp jobs on the capsule to finish or cancel. So in frustration, I removed the capsule from satellite and rebuilt it and added it back in. When I run a sync it appears to pull down the install images needed for kickstart and creates the meta data for the repos, however it fails to pull down the rpms. I have removed, rebuilt and re-added this capsule server a couple of times. Is there something in the pulp database on the satellite server itself that I need to clear? I am hesitant to do anything to my satellite server because I do have another functioning capsule server at another site used by another group and this is a production server.

Thanks,
Mike

Michael,

Diagnosing the issue you're experiencing via the discussions forum could take some time. I suggest you raise a support request with Red Hat, especially since the issues are occurring on your production Satellite Server.
