No subscription after reinstall.

Latest response

Hello,

I've reinstalled my server and i got statement like below:

[root@localhost bryn1u]# subscription-manager register --username bryn1u --password Gxxx --auto-attach
Registering to: subscription.rhn.redhat.com:443/subscription
The system has been registered with ID: 2f74b79b-xxxxxx

Installed Product Current Status:
Product Name: Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server
Status: Not Subscribed

Where is a problem ? I have no more subscription. My end of license is in 2017.

Hello Michał,

You have to remove the server profile from https://access.redhat.com, under the tab subscriptions, before you can register the server again.

Kind regards,

Hello,

Thank you. Working like a charm.

if you know you are going to reload the system, you can collect the old uuid prior to the reload and reapply it see article "How to register a system to Red Hat Subscription Manager using the old UUID" You may need to add the --org= parameter which the subscription-manager identity will give you.
