Application Installer does not load it's entries
Hi there,
after installing RHEL 7.2 i tried using the application installer in order to install software such as an integrated development environment. Clicking on the development category, there are six entries in my case but they are blank and do only contain some sort of loading indicator (see screenshot). Even after hours the result is still the same, and reloading didn't solve the problem either.

I get no error whatsoever... does anybody had the same issue or is this my mistake?
Greetings
P.S.: Thanks for the developer subscription! ;-)

Stefan,
To confirm, your system has access to the Internet? Are you behind a proxy where you are?
To troubleshoot I would open a console and attempt to install software via yum and see if you get any error messages that may be helpful. Install something you haven't already got installed eg.
yum install wget
This will show you if the underlying yum configuration is working OK.
I used default security, am not behind a firewall, confirmed my sources and subscription, but see nothing but ellipses for all entires in "Application Installer" with the exception of "Featured". This appears to be a bug as I reinstalled to correct it and received the same problem.
Same issue here, some entries update if I wait others don't. I recently installed, I wonder if it's just very slowly downloading all of the icons. I'm looking at the system monitor and I'm seeing very low level but continuous downloading activity
Same problem exists in Fedora. Why have an app and then tell people to use something else? Fix it or get rid of it. I assume we should be taking this issue to Gnome, not RH?
I have FIOS, 1100 down, 400 up, and it's been a month. I reinstalled and have the same issue. Tried a VM and have the same issue. Installed Fedora have the same issue. The problem appears to be with the Gnome software app, not the OS.
I am having a similar problem. I suspect that it is due to ip address ranges that we are blocking ( foreign countries ) which isn't always so cut and dry. Some of the software is showing but some isn't. Is there any way to get a list of servers that Application Installer queries?
This is still not fixed with 7.3 . I see the exact same issue. Tried refreshing subscription, restart, reboot, Next option is to format the hard disk and install some other flavour I guess.
My long time experience with gnome-software (package name of the GUI installer application) is that it is more or less buggy ... whether testing it in various versions of fedora, RHEL or other distributions like debian or ubuntu - sometimes it works as expected, sometimes not.
The recommended way to install applications is using the command line tool, which in case of RHEL is the yum package management tool.
i have question here: what is the relation between repositories and the application installer? should we disable any third party repos to be able to download software from application installer? can we decide from which repos that application installer can use to show software?
