after resizing the logical volume, when restarting on lv status is not available, is a server in a cluster veritas.

I haven't seen this issue since RHEL 4, and I have never used Veritas (vxvm or vxfs) on Linux, so I'm not 100% sure this is the right direction...but you can start with the man page for the "lvchange" command. Specifically, "lvchange --activate ay [LV Path]".

lvchange -a y will activate all LVMS
