Not getting logged into home directory

Posted on

I have a problem that when I login I'm not getting redirected to my home directory.

I login as follows:
login as: dfay
Last login: Wed Nov 4 11:03:17 2015 from dfay-7010.domain.ie
-bash-4.1$

In /var/log/secure I see the following for my login:
Nov 12 17:11:34 docker sshd[13553]: Authorized to dfay, krb5 principal dfay@DOMAIN.IE (krb5_kuserok)
Nov 12 17:11:34 docker sshd[13553]: Accepted gssapi-with-mic for dfay from x.x.x.x port 53622 ssh2
Nov 12 17:11:34 docker sshd[13553]: pam_unix(sshd:session): session opened for user dfay by (uid=0)

If I try a sudo I don't get access as expected but does the uid look odd or is is that as expected? (It's 0 above)
Nov 12 17:12:37 docker sudo: pam_unix(sudo:auth): authentication failure; logname=dfay uid=1013214887 euid=0 tty=/dev/pts/2 ruser=dfay rhost= user=dfay
Nov 12 17:12:37 docker sudo: pam_sss(sudo:auth): authentication success; logname=dfay uid=1013214887 euid=0 tty=/dev/pts/2 ruser=dfay rhost= user=dfay
Nov 12 17:12:37 docker sudo: dfay : user NOT in sudoers ; TTY=pts/2 ; PWD=/ ; USER=root ; COMMAND=/usr/bin/less /var/log/secure

/etc/samba/smb.conf is following:
[global]
workgroup = CORK
client signing = yes
client use spnego = yes
kerberos method = secrets and keytab
log file = /var/log/samba/%m.log
log level = 3
realm = domain.IE
security = ads

Are there any extra logs I could request to see what is going on.
