I am working with VMWare 11 and trying to install the vmware tools on Redhat Linux 7.1. I have used yum to install GCC and MAKE and the kernel headers. When I use RPM it shows the kernel files are loaded, but when I run VMWare Tool install (via .pl file) it doesn't matter what I enter as the path it says it is invalid.

Any ideas?

You need the kernel-devel package that matches your running kernel.
