Interrupted Downloads With Initial LINK_RESUME Support For 12 hrs? Which Download Manager to use with slow Internet Connections?
Common problem while downloading Red Hat Linux Enterprise 7.x lies in its inconsistency towards ISO downloads. Initially, download has LINK_RESUME support for 12 hrs but link get abruptly broken after 2 - 3 hrs & cannot be resumed latter on.
This leads to broken, damaged or partial ISO file which is useless for Installation. Linux "DO NOT" have IDM equivalent download manager to synchronise broken/interrupted downloads. This is also true for slow or costly 3G/4G data connections. Curl too has same problems. Red Hat Linux must find a solution to this if wants to compete with DESKTOP_WORKSTATION space from windows as without downloading and using it...one cannot compare its features. Even SERVER required desktop clients to be of wider use.
Even xTreme Download Manager (xdman) seems to have problems downloading ISO files. Either it is a bug or Server Side script which disallow downloads of Full ISO even to registered users.

In Chapter 1. Downloading Red Hat Enterprise Linux of the Installation Guide, there are some hints regarding using curl to download an installation ISO, including instructions on how to resume an interrupted download attempt. Basically, you need a new tokenized URL and have curl skip the already downloaded amount of data. HTH.
