You can use hammer to load these modules like any other content. Or, you can upload from the UI.

thanks I am attempting to upload about 1gb in a tar f thru the gui and it just hangs on uploading , what file format is it looking for ?

tar? or tgz or ?????

Hi Brian,

You can use the hammer [CLI tool] to upload the larger files.
I think this article might help on the CLI commands https://access.redhat.com/solutions/1200863.
The file format is xxxxx.tar.gz

A procedure on adding puppet modules is now published in Hammer CLI Guide (https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en/red-hat-satellite/version-6.2-beta/hammer-cli-guide/#sect-CLI_Guide-Adding_Puppet_Modules_to_a_Content_View). Should work for 6.1 as well.
