Latest response

Recently migrated to RHEL 7.1, however after that IPV6 gateway is not reachable. switch/router side configurations remain the same.

A /128 is a single host subnet. This system is not in the same subnet as its gateway.

For 2001:db7:a01:b00::d0 and 2001:db7:a01:b00::df to be in the same subnet, they need to be in a /124 or larger.

my mistake!
it was configured with /124. still no luck

What's the subnet size on the gateway?

subnet: 2001:db7:a01:b00::d0/124
ip address assigned to host: 2001:db7:a01:b00::d0
Gateway configured in L3 router: 2001:db7:a01:b00::df

Looks like it is a switch configuration issue. after correcting it in L3 switch it is working as expected. Thanks Jamie for your comments!
